FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA., March 1, 2021-Citrix Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTXS) today announced the completion of the acquisition of Wrike, a leading provider of SaaS workflow software. The deal is valued at $2.25 billion. As a result, Citrix will provide the most fully-featured cloud platform that will allow all employees and teams to safely and efficiently receive and share any work tasks, regardless of the communication channel, location, and device used.
The future of the labor sphere
“For more than thirty years, Citrix has been one of the leading providers of digital workplace infrastructure that enables IT departments to securely deliver the applications, content, and business services that employees need to work,” said David Henshall, President and CEO of Citrix. “By adding Wrike’s collaboration management functionality, which is used by companies such as Walmart, Fitbit, Siemens Smart Infrastructure, Chosen Foods, and many others, we will reach a new level and enable employees, teams, and organizations to work with maximum efficiency.”
Changing working conditions
Digitalization and the introduction of flexible schedules and mixed work models are in full swing. But now the work environment is filled with a variety of applications, communication channels and devices that distract employees and interfere with productive work.
“The issue of simplifying and securing workflows is more pressing than ever,” said Mark Bowker, senior analyst at Enterprise Strategy Group. — For employees to work efficiently and productively in today’s hybrid environment, they need more than just the means to securely and securely access the resources they need. They need tools that will allow them to work more efficiently anywhere, on any device, and on any channel.”
And they will be able to work like this — with the help of Citrix and Wrike.
